Join us at Coolidge Park Thursday, July 2nd, to celebrate America's 250th "birthday!" There will be a FREE concert from the Chattanooga Symphony and Orchestra and Fireworks!
We will meet at 535 McCallie Ave at 6pm and carpool to the park.
Suggested Items to Bring: Water (It will be HOT), Small Blanket to sit on/small folding chair, $ for Food Trucks(First Friends will also have some light snacks).

We will be having a BBQ Chicken and Baked Potato Bar for dinner (Lots of Veggie Options) and so much dessert! We will also have a small celebration for our graduates!
Please wear layers of clothing, as it will get windy on the water and tennis shoes/sneakers. Sunglasses are a good idea too!

An Evening with First Friends and Hope for Justice International
We will spend the evening sharing a potluck-style meal and hearing from Jason Dukes, Chief Philanthropy Officer of Hope for Justice International. Hope for Justice International is a charity working to bring freedom from human trafficking and modern slavery with programs in the UK, USA, Ethiopia, and Uganda.
Jason will share how everyone plays an important role in stopping human trafficking. Join us!
This event is FREE, but registration is required and bringing a dish to share is encouraged.
You will receive Potluck details at registration confirmation!
Christmas Dinner
Please join us for a wonderful dinner THIS Friday at 6pm! We will meet at 535 McCallie Avenue.
We will have Christmas decorations up, eat a delicious dinner (vegetarian options are available), and sing traditional Christmas songs together. It's a magical time! There will also be live music!
Our speaker, Gyven Nabors, has spent a lot of his life in Kenya. He met his beautiful wife there and they have 3 amazing children together. He has some encouraging things to share, so you don't want to miss!
Please email or text Ashton if you need anything during the holiday break OR share her information with new students! Many new students will be joining over the break and if First Friends can help them in any way, please make us/them aware!
If you would like to spend some time in an American home over the holidays, please reach out to me, too! Remember, you are NOT allowed to be alone during the holidays! That is a First Friends Rule!

Lake Splash 2025!
SIGN UP BEFORE FRIDAY, Sept 19th!
September 26-28 we will be spending the weekend on a beautiful lake! We will sleep in cabins, hike, play water sports (boating, tubing, kayaking, paddle boarding, swimming, etc!), dance at a traditional "hoedown," and enjoy time with each other AND other international students from UTK, Ga Tech, and UAB.
We will join a group called RUFI (Reformed University Fellowship International). They are a campus ministry that has an international student "chapter." Every year, this is a great way to meet other international students and RELAX in the "great outdoors!"
The cost is $85 for the whole weekend, in which everything is included. You just need to pack a bag!
